Dr G Mansell – Change of Practice Focus
To my Valued Patients,
As most of you know I have split my practice between family medicine and mental health since 2003. Wait times for appointments have been getting progressively longer. With both parts of my practice becoming so busy, it has been a challenge for me to continue to provide adequate access. For these reasons and others, I will be closing my family medicine practice as of March 1, 2022. For patients that I see for mental health, there will be no changes in your care.
I have enjoyed being your family doctor over these many years. Some of you have stuck with me since I worked at the Hazeldean Medical Clinic. Thank you for trusting me with your care. Currently there are no physicians at Synergy that are accepting new patients. However, you can look for family physicians that are accepting new patients at www.cpsa.ca and albertafindadoctor.ca. There are doctors in Sherwood Park that are currently accepting patients. I would recommend that you begin your search now for another family physician. Once you have provided a signed medical release, we will transfer your records to your new doctor at no charge.
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta requires a physician to give three months notice, but I have chosen to give four months notice to help with continuity of care during the winter months.
Thank you for the privilege of being your family doctor over the years,
Dr. Graham Mansell
